The text message from your Cell C will be in this format ( an example).. portme 20digitserial number to 0827678287.
8. Get confirmation message
Wait till you receive a confirmation message for your request. After you receive a confirmation number (2 SMS), you will receive a message that contains the date you will be moved from Cell C to Vodacom.
In most cases from experience, the porting process takes approximately 6 hours.
In addition, if you Port From Cell C To Vodacom on weekends, it will not be successful or it will only take effect on weekdays.

9. Be Patient
Do not remove the Cell C from your phone, leave it inside, wait till you discover that you are not able to check your cell c balance or even call ( network will disappear); at that point, it means you have been moved to Vodacom network.
Then, remove the Cell C from your phone and insert the Vodacom sim card. Once the Vodacom sim card is in your phone, wait for about 5 minutes, then dial 136 to activate.
10. Dial 136
You have to dial 136, and listen to the voice prompt before it will start working.
