1. Dialing Vodacom USSD Codes

The Vodacom ussd code or number to cancel your subscription is *135*997#; however, you need to know how to use it and the correct number to press from the list of options presented to you. The steps below explains it all.
Implement the steps below
- From your mobile phone on your hand, dial the number, *135*997#
- From the displayed screen, options will be presented to you
- Chose or select option 1 ( i.e. view and stop content services)
- All subscription services will be displayed, pick the services you want to stop and press cancel
- Instantly, an SMS will be sent to your mobile phone number notifying you of the cancellation

Another important issue I will like to address here is the option for you to simply stop all services subscribed on the Vodacom network. To do that, see the steps below:
- Dial the same *135*997# from your mobile handphone
- Chose option 2 ( which is unlike option 1 for select services as described above earlier)
- Chose stop all , then click on 1 to authenticate and confirm your request.
- Similarly like above, an SMS notifying you of the cancellation will be sent to your registered Vodacom phone number.
2. Using The App For Cancellation
Using the App is the second most popular way for you to unsubscribe from any services you do not want. While this option may be preferred by you, the first option on the use of the ussd code is the most popular.
To me, the only disadvantage using this option is that you must have downloaded and installed the App on your phone and secondly, you need to have an active internet or data connection to use it.
If the above two conditions is satisfactory to you, then implement the steps below ( I assume that you have already installed the App, but if not, just go to the playstore, download and have it installed. Then after that, just register with your name and phone number to activate it.
Implement the steps below to unsubscribe Vodacom subscriptions:
- Open the App i.e. Vodacom App on your phone
- Login or sign in with your details
- Inside the app interface, locate and click on ‘ My account’, then click on manage services to access it
- All the subscription services you are subscribed to will be plainly displayed, navigate to the services you want to cancel and click on cancel
- After a few minutes, you will get notification on your registered mobile number that such service(s) has been cancelled.

3. Cancelling Vodacom subscription online

- Login with your registered information, phone number and details
- On the profile self help page, navigate around, locate my accounts, from there, chose content

4. Using SMS
From all indications and experience so far, utilizing a cost effective approach to managing your experience with SA number 1 network is crucial.
To this end, leveraging on the use of just sending SMS to cancel your Vodacom subscription is both ideal and recommended just like the use of ussd because it is free and does not require you to have internet data connections.
If you are frugal like me, then follow the steps below to implement this method:
- Open the message/SMS section on your mobile phone
- Type STOP ( in capital letter) and simply send it to 31050
- Almost instantly, you will receive an alert SMS notification that your request have been received. Not only that, all active and pending subscriptions will be shown to you likewise
- Options will be shown on whether you want to stop or cancel some services just follow the prompt and chose the services you want to unsubscribe from
