No Mercy In Mexico ( Watch The Video)

In a world where the love of many has turned cold and the heart of men has become steel, it is saddening and highly inhumane to watch the viral ‘no mercy in Mexico video’ that has flooded the entire internet ecosystem.

I asked myself, where is the humanity in us? does it mean that the biblical verse that said the heart of many will grow cold and sour in the last days is true? I murmured to myself and virtually could not eat for 3 days the very first time I watched this video.

Though, criminal statistics emphatically categorize Mexico as one of the most dangerous countries in the world ranking in the 13th position, trailing the likes of El Salvador, Jamaica, South Africa, Honduras, Venezuela, Nigeria, etc; however, this inhumane no mercy in Mexico video transcends the heinous crime committed in this top 10 countries.

Even highly notorious drug-infested countries like El Salvador, Colombia, Haiti, Jamaica, Honduras, Pakistan, Venezuela, etc. have not bred and given birth to cold-blooded criminals to the level of the no mercy in Mexico video atrocity.

I will agree that similar videos probably existed during the height of ISIS and its affiliate’s barbaric activities where people were beheaded and displayed on social media. Even though such an act is condemnable and not justified, however, the situation of that period is highly dissimilar to the No Mercy in Mexico video

This brazen display is not ostentatious, it simply exemplifies the hatred in the hearts of people that has grown to another level culminating in the act of murder.

However, in a country where it is difficult to get justice, unlike the jailed 29-year-old American rapper ( Melly) who shot his two closest friends to death in the USA. The timeline of his trial has consistently brought about the non-lingering inquiry on YNW Melly’s release date which has been ongoing for the past 4 years, and whose hope of being freed is gradually fading off.

The family of the teens shot by Melly is likely to get justicehowever the same cannot be said of the family of the boy and his father who were brutally murdered in the no mercy in Mexico video.

What is The No Mercy In Mexico Video

Code named or nicknamed Guerrero Flaying, the No Mercy in Mexico is a gruesome, inhumane, callous, and barbaric video that has been making the rounds on the internet. The video has been termed “no mercy in Mexico” and it depicts a group of men brutally assaulting a man and his son who were both tied.

The exact timing of it is a subject of much contention and controversy, however, based on available information in the public domain; the incident happened in 2018.

The description of the video is not something I can describe because it is just too barbaric to start describing it. It would have even been better if the father and son were shot instead of the pain they had to pass through before being killed.

The video which has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times has provoked disgust and outrage amongst both Mexican indigenes and international observers.

Due to its disturbing and graphic scenes, the video has been seen with worldwide code maroon, and calls for justice by individuals and organizations alike have been made to the Mexican government so that the perpetrators will be brought to book.

Questions on the level of violence in Mexico have also been asked and it was found that Mexico has been plagued by gang-related crimes for many years which means that this is not the first time something like this is happening.

Implications of the No Mercy In Mexico Video

With keen, intricate, and articulate measures, the following are four (4) implications for the video:

1. Anger

No sane person can watch the video and not get angry at the perpetrators of this evil act. Virtually, people who have seen the video all have one thing in common and that is anger towards the perpetrators as a large number of people have taken to social media to express their disgust and annoyance towards the video.

2. Violence Awareness in Mexico

Mexico is well known as the stronghold of drug cartels, however, it was during Trump’s campaign and presidency that more people got to know about the high level of crime in the country and drug trafficking issues that permeate through the wall into the United States of America.

Besides,  thanks to the No Mercy in Mexico video, more people are aware of the level of violence in Mexico. As it is said, seeing is believing. Sure, they must have heard stories about the level of violence in Mexico, but that doesn’t mean they believe it.

But because of this video, people now see Mexico as a country with safety and violence issues.

3. Sense of being unsafe

Furthermore, the video has made lots of people feel unsafe and scared and who can blame them? Because the one the act of violence was carried on was a human being just like them, there is a possibility however that it could happen to them too.

Also, one can only imagine the trauma and psychological pain the friends and family of the victim will be feeling.

4. Violence is real

Not being stereotyped, the No Mercy in Mexico video brings to the forefront that violence is real and one needs to be careful at all times.

The video also serves as a powerful that violence can happen anywhere and at any time. The video is a wake-up call that we need to do more to address the problem of violence.
